Through cooperation and communication, there can be enough water for everyone. That’s the core of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan. Our integrated approach to water management considers the needs of the environment, communities, farms, fish and wildlife, and that consideration is reflected in our broad base of community support.

In 2015, Senators Maria Cantwell (D-Wash) and Patty Murray (D-Wash) introduced The Yakima River Basin Water Enhancement Phase III Act of 2015, a bill to authorize the first 10 years of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan.
